Our TV Commercials

Our TV Commercials

Our creative, catechetical television campaigns and Web sites reach millions.

Our first Catholic evangelism messages began airing on television in 1998, in preparation for the Jubilee 2000. At that time, 3,000 inactive Catholics returned to their local parishes. Today, we harness the effectiveness of television and the power of the Internet for even greater outreach, helping hundreds of thousands to come home.

Imagine seeing inspiring Catholic messages on prominent programs every day, every year and on prime-time TV shows, major sports events, popular cable programs! CatholicsComeHome.org runs our inspiring commercials on mainstream networks and cable channels where millions of un-churched or under-churched souls are watching.

Our team of Catholic media professionals and business leaders have witnessed that no other single advertising medium has the reach and impact of television, combined with the fulfillment of the internet.

  • The average American watches more than four hours of television each day and 98.2 percent of all U.S. households own at least one television.1
  • A 2006 study shows that students recalled two-minute ads better than a full length news story.2

Our powerful TV commercials change hearts.

The campaigns consist of the following television commercials:

“Epic”

This ad emphasizes the history, beauty, spirituality and accomplishments of the Catholic Church over her 2,000 year history. It illustrates how the Church opens its doors to all races, ages, cultures and socioeconomic levels. Video for this ad includes scenes of the sacraments being received around the world.

“Movie”

This reflective “Movie of Your Life” ad brings about sorrowful reflection of the bad times in our lives, as well as the joyful reliving of the good. Thankfully, we are reminded that Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it! This commercial teaches us that it is never too late to ask for God's forgiveness and to accept His mercy.

“Testimonials”

These mini-documentaries consist of dozens of real Catholics who share their stories of leaving the Church and the joy and peace they found upon their return.
