I’m Catholic…and I want to learn more about my faith and help others to come home!

We’re so glad you have come to Catholics Come Home to help us spread the good news about Christ’s Church to our families, friends and neighbors. We couldn’t do it without you!

Jesus Christ is so thankful for your desire to grow in faith and to share it with others. Jesus shows us a glimpse of the reward for our faithfulness when He said, “Come, O blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world…” (Matthew 25:34).

Our Lord also promises us in the Book of James that “whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).

You see, God calls us to tend to the physical needs of our brothers and sisters, but also to their spiritual needs. Our beloved Pope Benedict XVI once said , “The absence of God is worse than material poverty.” People are hungry and thirsty for the truth. We must bring it to them.

Wondering where to begin?

1. Pray for the Lord’s guidance.

   “If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, you should approach God first with all of your heart. Ask Him simply to fill you with charity, the greatest of all virtues; with it you can accomplish what you desire.” — St. Vincent Ferrer 

2. Prepare yourself to evangelize by studying the teachings of the Catholic Church.

   Study Scripture and make use of our resources here at Catholics Come Home. We have provided an abundance of information on Church teaching, moral issues, Confession and have so many other links and resources to offer you for your own learning as well. Find out the questions that Catholics and non-Catholics have about the Church so you can understand their concerns and help them find their way home.

   Always remember to let God do the heavy lifting. He is calling you to help him as a “laborer in the harvest,” but it‘s important to keep in mind that, while you are certainly asked to evangelize, only God Himself can convert the human heart to the truth. Let the Lord guide your work, and leave the “converting” to Him!
