MORE NATIONAL AWARDS FOR CATHOLICS COME HOME.ORG
CatholicsComeHome.org, has been honored by the National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management with its 2009 Best Practices Award. The presentation was made at the Roundtable’s annual meeting in Philadelphia, at which England’s former Prime Minister and recent Catholic convert Tony Blair was the keynote speaker. The award from the Roundtable Leadership, a network of clergy and laity devoted to the advancement of best practices in finance, management and human resources in the Catholic Church, honored Peterson for bringing skills honed during a 25-year advertising career to Catholics Come Home.org. Leadership Roundtable recognized the lay organization’s effective use of media to invite inactive Catholics and converts home to the Catholic Church.
“Catholics Come Home is blessed by God’s grace, and is thankful to be recognized for helping over 100,000 inactive Catholics (and converts) home to the Catholic Church,” said Peterson.
National Leadership Roundtable on Church Management Executive Director Kerry A. Robinson stated, “The Leadership Roundtable exists to serve the Church and to elevate and celebrate examples of excellence, best practices and creative solutions to contemporary challenges. It is a privilege to honor the work of Catholics Come Home for its example of successfully utilizing lay professional talent, contemporary media and communications strategies in its message of hope to all…‘Welcome Home’!”
Catholics Come Home has also been honored with two top awards from The Communicator Awards, the leading international awards program honoring creative excellence for Communications Professionals.
