Happy Feast of St. Anthony of Padua!

St. Anthony was a Franciscan, a man of great prayer and an amazing teacher of Scripture and theology in France and Italy. St. Anthony gives us a beautiful example of what happens when one completely surrenders his life to Christ. He is the patron saint of lost items, the poor, and travelers.

“Attribute to God every good that you have received.” -St. Anthony of Padua

St. Anthony, pray for us!

Feast of St. Anthony of Egypt

A voice came to St. Anthony saying, “Antony, I was here, but I was waiting to watch your struggle. But now, since you have bravely held your own in this fight, I will always help you…” (St. Athanasius,  “Life of Antony”).

Are we at war?

“For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).

St. Anthony of Egypt, pray fo us! “We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose” (Romans 8:28).
