Today is the feast of the first martyrs of the Church of Rome.
This made me reflect…Do I have a martyr’s love for Christ? How do I die to Christ everyday, even in little ways? Is my whole life a profession of my faith? In the face of persecution, do I love and stay true to Him all the more?

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul! What do we know about these wonderful saints of the early Church?

“CNA STAFF, Jun 27, 2010 / 05:05 am (CNA).- On Tuesday, June 29, the Church will celebrate the feast day of Sts. Peter & Paul. As early as the year 258, there is evidence of an already lengthy tradition of celebrating the solemnities of both Saint Peter and Saint Paul on the same day. Together, the two saints are the founders of the See of Rome, through their preaching, ministry and martyrdom there…”
Words from the saints:
1 Peter 1:8-9 “Without having seen him you love him; though you do not now see him you believe in him and rejoice with unutterable and exalted joy. As the outcome of your faith you obtain the salvation of your souls.”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Pontificia Università della Santa Croce in Rome hosted an international Church Communication Conference, where three hundred Catholic communicators from around the world were energized after hearing Tom Peterson, CCH President and Founder, discuss the sucess of the CCH TV campaigns in the U.S.
Attendees from across the globe, ranging from New Zealand to Germany, expressed enthusiasm about airing Catholics Come Home TV campaigns. Given this interest, our CCH team will soon translate our interactive website into Portuguese, German, French, Polish, Italian, Spanish, and maybe even Arabic!

Interview With Campaign Founder Tom Peterson

ROME, MAY 5, 2010 (Zenit.org).- When God chooses a methodology to bring fallen away Catholics back to the Church, he can certainly choose to spread the success from one country to another.
That seems to be his plan with a campaign started by Tom Peterson, an American former advertising executive, who has put his expertise and experience at the service of the Church through the creation of the Catholics Come Home ad campaign and Web site.
ZENIT spoke about the future of the campaign with the founder and president during his recent visit to Rome to address a conference on “Church Communications: Identity and Dialogue” at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. click to read entire article
